Byegone: Photo Cleaner – Terms of Use

1. Agreement to These Terms

By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to the Byegone Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These Terms add to that agreement. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.

3. Your Photos and Deletions

Byegone helps you review and remove photos and videos, but you decide what is deleted.

• You choose: items are deleted only after you select them and confirm in the iOS prompt. You are responsible for checking your selection before confirming.
• Recently Deleted: iOS moves deleted items to the Recently Deleted album, where you can recover them for up to 30 days. Once they are removed from there, they cannot be recovered.
• No copies: your photos and videos stay on your device. We do not keep copies, so we cannot restore anything you delete.
• iCloud Photos: if you use iCloud Photos, deleting an item removes it from every device signed in to the same Apple Account.
• Back up first: we recommend backing up your library before a large cleanup.

4. Video Compression

Compressed videos are smaller and may have reduced visual quality. Please check a compressed video before deleting its original. Storage savings shown in the App are estimates and may differ from the space actually freed on your device.

5. Free Version and Ads

The App is free to download and shows ads served by Google AdMob. How ads use data, and the choices you have, are described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Remove Ads Purchase

• Remove Ads is a one-time in-app purchase. It is not a subscription and there are no recurring charges.
• Apple processes the payment. Prices, billing and refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms; refund requests can be made at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• You can restore the purchase on devices signed in to the same Apple Account.

7. Acceptable Use

When using the App, you agree not to:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the App
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the App's source code, except where the law allows it
• Use the App in any way that breaks applicable laws

8. Updates and Availability

We may update, change or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time. Some features may depend on your iOS version and device.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will free a specific amount of storage.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Smile Apps Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for the loss of photos, videos or other data that you choose to delete or compress using the App. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

11. Termination

You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We may end your licence if you break these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you live in another country, you keep any protections that the laws of your country give you and that cannot be waived.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
