PlainPDF – Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the PlainPDF app for iPhone and iPad (the "App") provided by Smile Apps Studio ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by Swaminathan L, Bengaluru, India.

1. Agreement

These Terms apply to PlainPDF together with the general Smile Apps Studio Terms of Service and, for the iOS app, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If they conflict, Apple's agreement applies to the iOS app. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to the PlainPDF Privacy Policy.

2. The App

Every tool in the App is free and supported by ads. PlainPDF Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase that removes ads and adds batch jobs and unlimited text recognition on large documents. It is not a subscription and never renews.

3. Purchases and Refunds

  • Purchases are processed by Apple.
  • Refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Use "Restore Purchase" to unlock Pro on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account.

4. Your Files

  • Your documents stay on your device, and you are responsible for keeping copies of them.
  • PlainPDF never overwrites your original file unless you choose to.
  • PlainPDF only removes a PDF password when you enter the correct one.
  • You must have the right to edit the documents you use with the App.

5. Acceptable Use

Don't use the App for illegal purposes, or on documents you don't have the right to use.

6. Ads

The free version shows third-party ads from Google AdMob. We are not responsible for third-party ads or the websites they link to.

7. No Warranty and Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, and Smile Apps Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, resulting from your use of the App.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you live in another country, you keep any protections that the laws of your country give you and that cannot be waived.

9. Changes and Contact
